Justin was an instigator of all things in our Dorchester world. Having such enthusiasm and interest in all things outdoorsy, natural and sporting, Justin led the olga crew on many an adventure, competition or activity that was unbeknown to mankind from shuffle boarding to leaf blowing to beech gin making. Any excuse for a wholesome chat in the pub was welcomed by Justin, and this quiz fitted his debrief perfectly. Unfortunately this year we completed the quiz watching the worst football game ever in Burnley v Leeds, but as always Justin’s zest for life and comraderie made it perfectly pleasurable. He will be greatly missed.

This quiz is one of many things that are part of our lives because of Justin, or which he made better by being a part of. A deep love of the outdoors, bikes, pubs, swimming, Dorset’s coast and countryside: the list is too long to recount in full here. Just made it all better with his sense of humour and boundless enthusiasm for almost everything (except pickled eggs). We miss him terribly, but I know that Just would want us to keep doing the things he loved, keep laughing and of course: keep quizzing.

In the depths of rural Dorset, a far from many a sporting event (bar knob throwing and nettle eating) Justin pushed the envelope (as he did in life) and recruited us to take part in the quiz. It provided an avenue to the pub for annual completion and targeted raillery on receiving each email.
For many years I actually believed Sned was his uncle and this was truly a family affair.
His passing is a great loss to so many and although you may not have met the man you will have undoubtedly scrolled past his name LOVELAND! A truly amazing man who loved sports, friends, and life.
